Closing my eyes to the Darkness of the World Shutting out that which I can't see Finding myself within the arms of a Shadow Not realizing the Shadow is only me.
I feel trapped not being able to find The Truth in reality which is all in my mind.
Show me the way, the path which leads to the Tree of Life and show me the Truth So that this ache I feel in my soul Will begin to Soothe.
With my eyes closed I'm blind to the light I'm falling down yet I put up a fight I cast myself in the scene of Rebirth and find myself again in the soil of the Earth.
I can see now the road I must follow There is a fire burning bright to light my way It is a difficult path sometimes filled with sorrow No-one can lead me yet I shall not stray.
I feel that this Path will show me the Truth the Truth which I have been seeking Once I've found it I'll store it safely Deep in my soul for safe-keeping.

Release
The darkness consumes; brings to bear all that has not healed. Striking where the heart lies and the soul steals away from hurt. Knowing the plight, Begrudging all in the inner torrent; the storm where no calm exists. Grief, the wandering mist that chills one's soul to ice. The night, no help to this; the light far gone from me. Waiting for rest, for comfort, for what pains me to relinquish it's grasp about my throat.

Thank you! ::deeply blushes::
I think yours and everyone else's are awesome! There's such a diversity of thoughts, feelings.. emotions in everyone's poetry. It is truly enlightening and a privelege to read what everyone is sharing with us all!

I feel the wind so cold, It blows right through me. I fear sometimes, It will become me.
The world, the wind.. It spins so quickly now.
It spins so fast, I can't keep up.
Spinning worlds, and winds within me.
How I long for warmth again.

Thank you, Bebop. That's very kind of you. I don't know.. I don't normally write poetry.. but it just sort of came to me in a flash while I was sitting here. My mind works in mysterious ways.

Yes! I know what you mean.......Sometimes mine seem to be written by somelse, even as I am writing them.......It's like being in a meditative state sometimes...a oneness with the universe (or two universes, maybe ;D )............. Here's one that came about in such a way a few days ago: Spoken The sound, the splitting, breaking sound; an invitation to madness, a chaotic state-- that which will bring us asunder. The collapse, fallen kings arise from ash. To the beggars they shall go, each receiving his task. Remind of compassion, remind of human frailty. To the penitant they shall go, each receiving his task. Remind of Faith, remind of absolution. To the meek they shall go, each receiving his task. Remind of humility and share thy reward. Till the ends of all the earth and all are cleansed of heart. Bebop ;D

Bebop, that's beautiful.
Yeah.. I know what you mean. I was kind of in a meditative state when I wrote mine too. I was feeling a certain way.. but I don't think that I was <consciously> trying to find words for it. They just came to me so easily. Of course, mine wasn't as elaborate as yours. Mine was just very simple.
Thoughts are funny sometimes. Sometimes my thoughts seem strange and foreign, almost like.. maybe they're not even my thoughts at all.. but someone else's. Does that make sense?
And then, sometimes I can even hear what other people are thinking.. inside my head (though not intentionally). But this wasn't one of those times. It just seemed to come out of me, alive.. with it's own kind of consciousness.

DARKENED GARDEN
As the air cools The stars appear Impossible blossoms Balancing on branches
On the night breeze Scent of something Hyacinth, violet Blending into blackness
Out of nowhere A bat drops down Flittering, chittering Speeds off in search of moths
Butterfly bush Hedgehog awakes Shuffling, snuffling In hawthorn and holly
Over a fence A gentle fountain Spraying, playing Harmonies with wind chimes
