It seems that TimeLess Destinations convention has run into a bit of trouble. Bill W and Sylvia have sent emails to those that have purchased activity tickets alerting them to the fact that the convention may now only be for 3 days. No dealers tables/room, no boat cruise and no shows are scheduled. No convention t-shirt or programs. The fans that purchased tickets and have paid for their non-refundable airfares are now trying to salvage what they can of their vacations. My heart goes out to them and I do hope they can still have a bang-up time! It's a shame what's happening.

That's a shame.
Can't say I'm surprised - a week-long con is just too expensive for most people (I still haven't dared add up just how much Timeless cost me last year!).
Still, lots of fun stuff to see and do in Vancouver... Stanley Park (or Stanley Tweedle Park!)... killer whale-watching... and if you like playing Spot the Locations - Battlestar Galactica, Dark Angel, Highlander, X Files, X Men have all shot there.

Timeless was fun last year. A week long con is not only expensive but exhausting as well. Still the best part was meeting lexians that I had only chatted with on the boards before ;D and meeting the lexx cast of course.

I have heard that Bill Wanstrom has absconded with the funds he collected for this year's TD convention, and has gone to Toronto... Can anyone confirm this ? I felt that TD last year could have been SO MUCH better, and I regret that my personal dealings with Bill left me sour, but it is good to know that so many people had such an enjoyable time...... Speaking personally, and without predjuidce, I never trusted Bill..... the man failed me personally on several counts last year, which is why I decided , even before I left Vancouver, that I would NEVER work with him again. NOW, for those who wish to recover their money, or to have other forms of satisfaction..I suggest you contact the RCMP Fraud Squad, give them the information about your experience, and any information about his whereabouts.... If you think he may be willing (or able) to refund your money , you may first want to let the guy know that you have no intention of letting this go. Let me know at : thaidowney@hotmail.com if I can help in any way...... Ellen Dubin may, just may... have an idea of where the guy has gone..... Let me know what you find out......cool brian

Bill was a strange character, who seemed to be out to punish anyone with talent or money. Congrats to anyone who had nothing to do with him this year.

Just in case anyone affected by TD's crappy actions isn't aware - the RCMP is the national police force in Canada.... they have a division called the Commercial Crime Office. Vancouver is bound to have a branch. Contact them, and tell them what happened. Contact your credit card company and tell them that you have been defrauded. Send relentless emails to TD. Tell them that you will not let this rest. Don't use foul language, tho, or use obvious threats. Simply tell them that you want your money back (all of it) and tell them that they have a day to do it or you will contact the RCMP, your credit card company, the Vancouver Better Business Bureau, and that you will use both Sylvia's and Bill's name. Do not let those people get away with this. Let me know if there is anything I can do. Feel free to write me anytime at:

I mean it !! I will answer !

I hope that those folks that did go to Vancouver had a wonderful experience, and have lots of good memories! If those who were let down by TD are ever at a con that I happen to be attending, let me know and we'll dream up something special to do together - OK ?

TD 07 has poofed, forums, websites and yahoogroups. However, curiously some original TD 06 web pages remain, just dig around, its fun to remininess. I am refering to the actual TD websites, not some silly myspace nonsense.
