It is probably very unlikely, but just in case anyone else might be in Prague between the 9th and the 13th of June, I'll be there, being an awe-struck tourist once again. It is probably my favourite city on earth....it is one of those places about which you CAN NOT say "Hey, this is just like......", because it isn't like anyplace else. So, should anybody happen to be winging through that part of Europe, it would be great to meet and perhaps have one of those many fantastic Czech beers. And if travels take you only to London, I'll be there on the 14th and 15th, and then off either to Cornwall or to the north... by train... the Brits have rail travel down to a science. It is always a pleasure to meet Lexx family, no matter where !

I hope you have a wonderful trip! Man, do I miss my old planet-hopping life!
I know it's a bit of a hop, but if you ever get the chance, I recommend L'viv in the Ukraine-- it's called "The Museum City". It's about 400 mi/650 km E of Prague in the western area of Ukraine. Gorgeous churches and architecture.
I hope you have a great time!

Sadly, although I appreciate your suggestion, SaturnCat, I am spending a very, very limited time in 'eastern' Europe... the line has become blurred, hasn't it ? My time in Prague is it... no more. And the invitation to spend a bit of time with Czech lovers of LEXX is totally open...and open to anyone else who might happen to be in this most beautiful of cities during the short time I have there. And even if I did have the time, you know the difficulties of travel to those places which were more completely absorbed by the USSR....corruption, kidnappings, bribes, and an unacceptable level of uncertainty....Prague is completely fine by me.. I'd happily spend months there.....and probably die of liver disease....or too much processed meats.... If anyone doesn't believe how stunning this city is, check on line....

The more one learns about Prague, the more seductive the city becomes....a long and interesting history, exquisite buildings, great literature, magnificent endurence, and a wholesome tolerence of visitors ... of which there are millions..... The offer still stands, by the way.....A meeting in Prague with anyone interested is welcomed... A small, but wonderful ,example of what you might expect to see is the Church of Our Lady before Tyn....google that, and see if you can resist a smile of amazement. Ièll have more about London time in a few days....In Montreal at the moment...best city in North America....cultures fit easily side by side, colors aren't a barrier or a badge...they just happen to be all human, and lovely in this most gracious city....and it is chic !

So happy that you are having a nice time! So cool that you stopped by to share-- the Internet is a fantastic thing, isn't it? Back at the ranch: you missed a major heat wave here on the East Coast, tho I don't think it got that warm in NS-- it always seems to be about 20 degrees (Farenheit, sorry) higher where I am here in Maryland (about 1000 mi SW of NS). It's been in the high nineties here for several days-- we had a record-breaker the other day. The heat where you are is concerning. Related to global warming??? I sure hope not. I stayed indoors-- getting cabin fever, I must admit. Started re-reading "Men, Martians and Machines" by Eric Frank Russell, which I first read when I was around 14. It's possibly my all-time fave book, & definitely my fave Sci Fi book. A great way to escape the heat, tho the first chapter has the crew hurtling off-course towards The Sun! What else have you missed? Oh, yeah, aliens from Sigma Draconis landed in Las Vegas-- and promptly left. (Kidding.) Hope you get off the beaten path away from the (other ) tourists & get some fantastic photos! The churches should be cool (temperature & sight-seeing both) cuz of the thick walls. Are there catacomb-type structures in Prague? Caves? Ooo-- cave paintings? All places that would also be cool (in more ways than one). You could rent a bike-- get some wind chill to knock off some of that heat. Do more night explorations-- cemetery crawling? Ah, I envy ya! Warm (Very) Wishes From The Other Side of Planet Earth!

....easyjet, not so amazing... I used to know someone who worked for EasyJet - they couldn't find Europe on a map of the world - literally! Luckily they were cabin crew, and not the pilot...

EasyJet is known as a "No Frills" airline. I guess they tossed courtesy, maps, and watches out the window with the peanuts and complimentary beverages. The American equivalent is Spirit Airline.... but you can't really pass up $1 fares in this day and age.
