"Stanley the fearless warrior god swooping down from on high to protect the weak and innocent, mastermind of the downfall of the shining star of the cosmos"
The Heretics from the Russian community of Lexx congratulate the best and unique Captain of two Universes on his birthday! We wish that all his dreams come true, that he stays. Our brains sing a glorious song to you and our hearts are torn by love to you.
There is no series like Lexx that is so fascinating and that breaks so many stereotypes. Unfortunately we, the heretics, trace a tendency which is unpleasant for us - uncommon films/Sci-Fi series lose a fight to a classical fantasy. *Spits out on the floor* We cry from a grief like small children, seeing epic fights between good and evil, seeing exaggerated representations about evil and good. Films where good guys are necessarily knights in a sparkling armor and bad guys are obligatory madmen bearing malice to the rest of the world. *Bangs on the table*
Such fantasy guzzles our brains like an insatiable Cluster`s lizard, it is more pernicious than forces of Divine Order! Stereotypes, the amputated heroes and lobotomized morals join our spinal cord in gigalitres from TVs and monitors.
Where are the ambiguity, half-shadows, hints and the vitality?
Those are great times! *Empties the glas*
Dear Brian! *Has a solemn face* We, the heretics, thank you for your skill and acting. Thank you for everything that you have done for Lexx, for the fact that we know Lexx as it is. Thanks for breathing life into our Stan.
With love,
Heretic Zone of LEXX,
