Mmm, books - my oldest addiction Mostly reading non-fiction these days, but here are a few of my favourite novels - no particular order - The Lord of the Rings - JRR Tolkien The Mists of Avalon - Marion Zimmer Bradley Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen Dracula - Bram Stoker The Vampire Lestat - Anne Rice (Really enjoyed the first 3 Vampire Chronicle books, but the more recent books feel like she's lost the plot. The Witching Hour (Mayfair Witches) was very good). Anything by Tanith Lee - I can't choose just one! But my favourites are Sabella, Kill the Dead, The Electric Forest, and The Silver Metal Lover. The Discworld books - Terry Pratchett. These always make me smile. Favourites are Guards!Guards! and Small Gods. Good Omens - Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman. Basically, it's The Omen, but with a lot more laughs. Sandman - Neil Gaiman. OK, so it's a comic book, but it's literature. Season of Mists is one of the best things I've ever read. And if I can include Shakespeare, it's Midsummer Night's Dream, The Tempest, Macbeth, and Richard III.

-Any book by JRRT (yes, even Roverandom...;-)) - but Silmarillion I prefer to the others. - "Sandman" by Neil Gaiman (esp. Kindly Ones). - "And the Ass Saw the Angel" by Nick Cave. - "Lavondyss" by Robert Holdstock. - "Gaspard de la Nuit" by Aloysius Bertrand. - "The Cathedral" and "A rebours" by Joris Karl Huysmans. - Anything by Edgar Allan Poe. -Richard Weiner's short stories. -Oscar Wilde's tales. -SAKI's short stories ( Sredni Vashtar in particular)... -Ambrose Bierce's pieces. (In my opinion, that guy deserves more recognition...) - Winnie the Pooh. I love Eeyore, y'know. - We Are All Legends by Darrell Schweitzer. - Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. -And of course her husband's works... -And Byron... -And E. T. A. Hoffmann... -And Joseph Sheridan le Fanu... -And Ray Bradbury... -memoirs of the Sanson family. OK... And of course pretty much everything that has something to do with romanticism, decadence, symbolism... Medieval heroic epic. Sagas... Mythology in general... You may not believe me, but this post could be much longer...

ok this is a list of my fave books - feel free to slap down your own literary tastes... Well, if these were in ~print~, I'm sure they'd be on my list... And there are two more that I've never found pictures for. I have no idea if either of these actually sold in stores. I love Cobalt Stadium being on the cover of Valdron's book. Any of you guys ever even hear of these books? I bumped into them by accident when I was scouting for Lexx stuff, and there is just nothing else I can find. Janika
