Well due to the huge size of the files, and the problem with theft, they're all going to be uploaded to Google for the time being. For the people that have dial-up, it wasn't working to allow it to be downloaded...not many were able to get it. Let's all be grateful that we have anything...alot of hard work and expense on Chatins part went into the making and uploading of the videos.. THANKS CHATINS FOR ALL THE HARD WORK !!

No.
Google Video offers an option for download. You use their Google Player to watch. The download feature is nice with long programs... Even with a broadband connection the videos on Google will hesitate.
The downloaded version from Google is a little better quality. I wasn't asking for Dvix or a 200mb Quicktime/ MS Media /Real Player copy.. That is really silly.
Also.. Can somebody explain what "Theft" they are talking about?? How could somebody profit from a roundtable disscussion? That is just dumb.
Keep im mind that I can easily set up my video camera and RECORD right off of the computer screen. Then I could run off and share the video with other Lexx fans?
See.. There is no point to it.

Dial Up? Many people? What year is this again???
Online Video is for Broadband users.. Come on folks.. start paying a few extra bucks for a good Internet connection. You can even add in Vonage and save big bucks on long distance calls.
How about somebody transcribe the video for the Dial Up crowd. Duh..

Well, lvcambot, the 'theft' I was referring to was the uploading of our EXCLUSIVE Lexxzone.com videos onto other peoples sites...They are paid for and done by Chatins and there is no permission to download them to use on other's sites. We used to allow downloads, but they turned up everywhere without permission. If you want to go to all the trouble of filming them, instead of downloading and 'sharing' them, then no one can stop you unless you do something rude and upload them to your own site as your own, which some people have done. As for the 'dialup' issue..lots of fans don't have their own accounts, they have to use their parents accounts, and many don't have DSL or cable, and some are in foreign countries where their access to DSL is limited...so I'm so glad you have great connections but not everyone has that. Lets' be a little patient with them... The original files were shot in HI-DEF and making them into files made them huge..so the Google option was better, no one could wait four years to see them on the message board. Does that answer your question? As for the transcription, thanks for volunteering ! When may we expect to see it?? LOL..

If you are going to put stuff up like that.. add in your domain name as a tag in the video.
You are looking at this all wrong.. IMHO.

I have had broadband for 9 years. It is not cutting edge..
3+ years ago my business partner bought a cell brodband card. That way he could get a good Internet connection 30 miles into a rual area.
Here is a great idea. How about you FILM (yea use real 16-35mm film) of exclusive Lexx stuff. Then stick that film under your bed. That way you can feel all special becuase nobody can watch YOUR stuff.
Dumb..

You know Lv, you're being very nasty for no reason. You might want to consider the fact that you're on a cast member's board and have a little respect for others. No one has been snotty to you, so you just need to chill out your nasty attitude a bit. If you want to discuss Lexx, more power to you, if you want to be a jerk, find another board. Brian doesn't like flaming here.

To Lv - a serious portion of Lexx fans is Russian... And I would like to see you get a broadband connection back there. You may feel all advanced as you are, but many, if not most people in my country are on dial-up or on a pay-by-byte connection.
I think he does have a point, though. You people are way too protective over videos and all. They are just videos. I'm not a fan of patents, they only exist to prevent brutal copying and misgoing, but to restrict people save some video to their computer? To restrict it to be transfered to the internet? And I imagine good use of torrents for slow-connection people. That's just ridiculous. Why you have to be so protective? What happens if some video escapes a particular site? It's a video for LEXX fans in general. I thought whoever made the video has real rights on it.

We're talking about the owners of the pics and videos actually. For example, if someone uploads a group of pics to their own site, that they spent a ton of money getting and developing, so that their site was special and there was a reason for folks to visit it, then everyone took those pics and put them all up on their own sites, then everyone's sites would be identical and there would be NO reason to visit one site over the other. Now lots of folks spend a lot of money developing their sites so they can provide something that no one else can. If everyone's sites were the same, there'd be NO reason to visit one site over the other. What fun would that be? Do you want all the Lexx sites to be identical? Do you want someone whose spent a ton of money fixing up their site to look and see someone take all their hard work and put it on their own site to make it a copy of the other, for no cost? Do you think that's fair? If so, then perhaps we should all put all tlhe pics and videos in a big pile, and say 'everyone take them all' and have all the sites look identical and then there would be NO reason to go to anyone's site, because they'd all be the same. Then folks would drop their sites because of lack of interest...right? Then they'd stop spending their hard-earned money to give us special things, like live video and audio files. Think about it. We don't WANT all the sites to be the same, we like individuality over here, we like things to be special, and to give people a reason to come back. If you don't agree that there's some merit in this, then perhaps I'm explaining it incorrectly.
