Hi Fellow Stan Fans, I'm looking for a roommate to share the expensive with at this yr's Dragon*Con; it doesn't matter where we stay at or at which hotel & can room with either guy or girl. I don't smoke, do drugs, take much room & anything like that; I do need my morning cup of coffee, tend to talk in my sleep, tend to talk to myself (which I'm currently working on) & like to talk to others. If you're interested & are attending this yr's Dragon*Con, you can either e-mail me, post it here or send me a PM & I'll get it & read it, then get back to you; hope to see you there. Happy June, Karen

Hey Karen,
I might be interested. I took a look at airfare, attendance costs, and it seems pretty reasonable. I think I'd like to come.
How much will the rooms cost?
Tom

Hi Thomas & daydreamer2005, I'm glad you're interested in rooming with me & I haven't chosen a hotel yet; I thought I'd wait till I get a response from someone, then I can start suggesting some. I thought we could either star at the Marriott Marquis, the Hyatt or Days Inn; what do you think? It really all depends on where we're gonna be staying at; both the 2 main hotels aren't cheap, unless you room with someone, then the other hotels near there, aren't quite so bad. & the hotels that I've stayed at, are really good; here's my e-mail address, if you'd like to disucss it there: LexxNames@comcast.net. I'm with you, it's boring whe you're alone & it's nice to talk to someone while you're there. Stan Fans Unite, Karen

The Day's Inn offers us the best deal, so Karen and I will most likely go with that option.
Are you sure you won't want to reconsider, Kerri? I'm pretty sure there will be room for one more.

good idea. Can i cancel a reservation and make a new one? The Day's Inn offers us the best deal, so Karen and I will most likely go with that option. Are you sure you won't want to reconsider, Kerri? I'm pretty sure there will be room for one more.

I'm sure you can cancel your reservation and stay with me and Karen. That shouldn't be a problem.
I can get us a discount at the Day's Inn.. but with the Hyatt we'd be out of luck. And the Day's Inn is already one of the most affordable hotels in the area too.
It should be great.

Staying on site is ALWAYS preferable to off site. You may spend a bit extra in room fees but you more than make up for it in convenience, lack of aggrevation and various shuttle fees.
If you are worried about the cost. Share a room at the main hotel. That is what theBrother and I do when we go.
If you are really trying to go on the cheap, and are female, you might want to hook up with the lady from the DragonCon American Sci-fi group. She is looking for three roommates. The cost of a main hotel room split 4 ways is very affordable.
Being able to take just a few minutes to nip up to your room for a nap, or to change your shoes.... priceless.
If this is something you are interested in, go to sadgeezer.com, look under conventions.
