Hi Brian and everybody! I know you all don't hear from me much anymore but I read in USA Today, today, that the new version of "Sybil" starring Brian and Jessica Lange (among others) will air on June 7 on CBS. So I just had to use this as an excuse to say hi.
THAT'S TOMORROW...from when this message was written. So crank up the ol' video recording device, be it tape or new fangled digital kinoscope.

I watched it. Brian, how can you be so cruel to that poor girl? You're a terrible father.
I never read the book. If I remember the earlier movie well enough, I think this movie differs in that it shows some suggestion taking place by the therapist, aside from new details since the person who was Sybil was revealed.

The book is well worth reading - not fun, but interesting. I think this version may have been trying to be closer to the book, but it's so short compared to the 1976 version (which was about 4 hours) - I'm guessing they originally planned for it to be longer - maybe a lot of stuff got cut. Review in Variety here: www.variety.com/review/VE1117937299.html?categoryid=32&cs=1I'm glad it's finally aired in the US - didn't think it would after the False Memory Syndrome Foundation started their letter writing campaign to CBS...
