Some folks have asked what I am up to these days.... well, as most people know, it has been an absolutely SHITTY year (or more) for film and TV production around the world. I have friends in Great Britain who are in dire straits because there has been so little opportunity for them. The same goes for people in Canada and the US. Stupid strikes, a rotten economy (thanks, George Bush) and a general climate of despair has soured so very much.
But that hasn't stemmed the flow of creativity, for many of us. I have finished writing a couple of short films, am adapting a stage play for a feature film, writing two NEW stage plays, a feature film, and am working on publishing a small story .... which Paul Donovan loves .... and which will likely be adapted as a feature animation. So, economic slow-down or not, we all keep going. You lovely people in the USA have such a great new leader. I heard him deliver his economic plan today, and it is smart, and ambitious, thoughtful, and deserves support. Let's hope that your congressmen and senators can pull their heads out of the sand, and pull the hands of the lobbyists out of their pockets long enough to really do something worthwhile. Sadly, we in Canada have a real prick as the Prime Minister. This guy has been so bought by big business - like the oil companies - and is so incredibly right-wing that he makes skin-heads look normal.
But that does not stop thinking people from thinking, and creative people from creating.
As soon as I can, I'll make some of the work I have completed available to those who might be interested.
and so say we all (I like that show)
