Hi Fellow Stan Fans, I'd like to know if any of you will be attending this yr's Dragon*Con; there are some changes, including moving the bands to the Marriott, Registration to the Sheraton, then Fan Tables where the bands used to be & so on. There's quite a line up of stars this yr, including: Barry Boswick, John Schnider, Leonard Nemoy, Patrick Stewart, as well as some returnees; it looks like quite a fun & wonderful con & can't wait for it to get started. For more info about this con, please got to: www.dragoncon.org For those of you, who went last yr, & saw me at the con, well I've lost quite a bit of weight & can't wait to show everyone my new self; I now weigh 107.5lbs & want you all to guess my new `Happy' weight & there's a prize for the winner. Hope to see you then & have a great Summer, Stan Fans Unite, Karen

I'm sure to attend another year at DragonCon. For the last two years, each con gets better than the year before. See you there, Karen

William Shatner & Julie Caitlin Brown are recent added guests to Dragon*Con. I'm getting so excited about the con & it's only 2 weeks away; I can't wait to see you both as well as show you my new self, since the last time you saw me (2 yrs ago), I was heavier, well, not any more. Planning on attending The Cruxshadows concert? I do hope so & please wear some fairy wings & come join us into some fairying, photoshoot & other neat stuff being planned. I also hope to see some of you there & meet some who I haven't met before. Have a great Summer & safe travels to Atlanta, Karen

Fun but EXHAUSTING! Barry Bostwick and Malcolm McDowell were very nice - they both said Lexx was about the weirdest thing they had ever done (well yeah!! That's why we love Lexx!!!!). Barry loved the pic I got from Ellen D. a couple of years ago with Thodin and Giggy in full costume. All of the Battlestar Galactica celebs were very very nice, but especially Mary McDonnell... I felt like she genuinely appreciated each and every fan. Ron Glass of Firefly and Serenity (and Barney Miller back in the late 70s!) was very nice. Karen Allen, a.k.a. Marion, from Raiders of the Lost Ark - such a sweetheart! On the other hand, I heard that William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy and Patrick Stewart were charging way too much for autographs and not making themselves accessible to fans. I'm not talking bad about any celebs here, just telling what I've heard. It seemed even MORE crowded this year... More than last years estimated 40,000 people? Pirates were out, "steampunk" costumes were in. And I think I saw a record number of Princess Leia "skimpy slave outfits from Return of the Jedi" this year. Now I need about a week to recover!!!!!!

Dragon*Con was a blast, indeed. Speaking of Shatner and Nimoy, they were available for Photo-ops during Saturday evening. Chatins and I were sure not to miss out on this opportunity. Shatner & Nimoy Photo-Op
