Maybe its just brain damage caused by eating too many sugar frosted paint flakes as a kid, but I can't seem to find any info for Brian's video/photo merchandise. Is there a current listing available? Time to start my X-mas list, don't you know. Thanks Y'all And thank you, Brian, for keeping these items available for us!

hey, basselope,
If you check the first page of "Merch. and Price.." you'll find a few items. I do have some background footage from various episodes (not all), and I'll try to get those items listed in a week or two. DVDs usually run $20-$30, depending on the length and the process of assembling the footage. Cool ? brian

I did see that you mentioned still having some scripts; and I saw others mentioning their latest acquisitions, I just didn't see anything that looked like an official Downey-Mart Advertisement. ;D I've always been under the impression that the Thailand material is a great place to start, but I have no idea what great offerings you might have these days. Suggestions always welcome. Finally, Cool is as Cool does muh Brotha. I know you have a lot going on right now. Don't feel rushed on my account - life is much too short to sweat the small stuff. Heck, you haven't even had time to pick a new avatar! (yes, I'm poking fun at you) Take care and best wishes on your latest project! Basselope

Well, I'm back in Montreal, almost settled in for the next year and a half, and have a semi-functional office set up. Apologies to all for being so very out of touch. Now, as far as 'merchandise' is concerned, basselope, there is no 'downey-mart'. All I have are a few things that I managed to either salvage from the end-of-show-dump-fest, or a compilation of things (read video and stills) that I shot during the four series. The scripts that were the basis of shows that were shot, and those that were alternate , or very early, drafts which were never shot, are now all in storage, and I have no way to access them. But I do have a selection of DVDs, which are:
399 photographs covering all 4 seasons, with my audio commentary about them throughout. Length: approx. 90 mins
The Thai Shoot: Background footage shot in Thailand, with a short bonus of Halifax footage, which includes the last take ever shot in Halifax. Length: approx. 2 hours
A compilation DVD. The Original Demo shot in 1995. Music video with selections from the first 4 shows with "Burning Down The House". A news item covering very early CGI elements (the cluster lizard walks). "The Making Of..season 3". The wonderful Season 4 Wrap Reel. PLUS 2 bonus features - the hilarious "Little Dickie" music video, with I co-produced and played in, and a 60 second "Anonymous Rex" demo. Length of DVD: approx. 61 minutes.
Random 'dailies' from 'Love Grows', 'Norb', 'Terminal', and an unpolished 'gag reel'. Length: approx. 53 minutes
"The Web" and "The Net" dailies, and background footage, PLUS a great interview with Chris Bould, who directed more episodes of LEXX than anyone else.
"Wake The Dead". Cool background footage. All behind-the-scenes bits. Length: approx. 1hour 18 minutes
"End Of The Universe". Dailies. Lots of Xev in this one. Length: approx. 52 minutes
"White Trash". Dailies. Maury Chakin is lots of fun playing 2 characters. Length: approx. 66 minutes
"The Beach". 'Rough edit'. Lots of footage WITHOUT the CG added in, and the green screen behind. Length: approx. 46 minutes
"Brigadoom". Background footage. With an interview with Til Furhman, the costume designer in season 2. Bonus is a short tag from "Web/Net". Length: approx. 1 hour 46 minutes.
ALL PRICES ARE IN US DOLLARS! The Thai shoot, the Photos, and Brigadoom are $25 each plus shipping, and all the rest are $20 each plus shipping. The shipping costs will vary, depending upon where the DVDs are going. It is possible to ship to most places by Express Post, but this, of course does cost extra, and unless you're really anxious, it isn't worth it. Every package I've shipped so far has arrived just fine. I'll pay the shipping on orders of 4 or more DVDs.
Again, I am sorry I don't have more to offer, but the company didn't believe in hanging on to very much, and I was the ONLY one who shot background footage, with the exception of the ONE day SPACE showed up and did a few interviews for "the Making of Season 3".
If I get #4 badges together, I'll let you know, so that you, too, can be the lowest on the totem pole, just like Stan.

These are copies of DVDs you're selling, not the actual one-and-only things, right? What I mean is, if I wait to order these, I'm still going to be able to purchase them, even if someone else has already ordered them? I'm very interested in adding all of those to my Lexx collection, but can't order anything just now.
Thanks, and happy belated birthday!

I bought all of them last year i believe. but sadly life gets in the way and i haven't had much time to watch them. I did skim threw them and would say that they are very worth it. If memory serves me the season sets were rather lacking in the extras section. I would fully recommend the purchase. I think that I'll have to go threw them and give them a review. Also I two would be willing to buy a badge and hat. My grandfather has a pair of pajamas that are almost exactly like Stans.

Thank you Brian! I am putting my wish list together. These are copies of DVDs you're selling, not the actual one-and-only things, right? Not to speak for Brian (and please correct me if I mis-speak), but Yes, the DVDs will remain available to all who wish to own them. With very few exceptions the content was recorded by Brian as an amateur shutterbug and has been transferred from its original media (photo, tape, etc) to DVD for the sole purpose of allowing us to enjoy it as well. The photos and behind-the-scenes footage were intended to be simple keep-sakes for Brian's personal use, but through his generosity (and, I suspect, some nagging from we fans) he has been kind enough to share this treasure trove with us. Also, please bear in mind that Brian keeps himself quite busy with his work. Your patience is greatly appreciated.

hey basselope, Thanks for being of good spirit in responding to the questions from Stunnerluver4 - and I'm sure your intentions were good - but I do insist that it be left up to me to answer questions that are asked of me. I can answer best, simply because I have all the first hand information. Again, I am sure your intentions come from a good hearted place, but please allow me to answer questions that people ask me. So, Stunnerluver4, most of the 'behind the scenes' or 'background footage' I mention is footage that I shot (or had someone else shoot) on my Canon XL1, which is a very high quality video camera. The quality is near broadcast quality. Some was shot on a smaller Canon video camera, (like the Thai footage) because it was too complicated to get the larger camera into and out of the country. The stills I shot with my two Olympus OM1 cameras, and my mini Minox - all are film cameras, and all have high quality lenses - the Minox lens, for instance, is made by Leica. So the quality of the stills is quite high. I took thousands of still photos during the four seasons ( I did so much shooting, some of the crew called me the sniper-boy) and I had a look at almost every single one, and settled on the 399 as giving a reasonable idea of what went on on and off the shooting floor. The 'dailies' are sometimes called 'rushes'... sometimes raw footage of the days shooting, and sometimes footage in the form of a rough cut or and unfinished edit. Those can be quite revealing as to what goes into putting a simple scene together I burn the DVDs either from the digital tape, or from the DVDs compiled from raw footage from the original tapes recrded during our shooting. That's about all I can come up with at the moment, but if you have any other concerns or questions, I am happy to do my best to give you a clear answer. hugs brian
