Jim: You will never let me live that one down, will ya? Man, I shoulda known drinking nothing but cranberry juice all night would not end well… I like to think of it as The Cleansing…
Angryatnumbers: Delinquency?! Hey, what two consenting birds choose to do in the privacy of their own pond is nobody else’s business LOL
Though funnily enough, I did have a close encounter with an eider duck round the back of a small café…
CatCharm: This place brings out my wicked streak – I’ve been going out for breakfast, and the first thing I look at is the cocktail menu!
Bad, bad Goblin ;D

Looks like someone hoisted their flag in victory over Priests' old watering hole... Possibly the ghost of Admiral Nelson - the Victory, still in active service as a museum ship. More pics, please!

I agree.
I didn't think to go up one and look at that site, before. It's cute. I was inspired to go get Labyrinth, which I haven't seen for a long time.
When that movie came out, I was involved with a girl who adored David Bowie and we loved that movie.
I'm usually a little depressed by stories playing out that theme, where the goal of the story is for the child to leave the fantasy behind and embrace the drudgery. I would have stayed in the labyrinth. The place where the labyrinth is, I mean.

Aahhh, Labyrinth. I love it I was originally planning on having more Labyrinth stuff on my website - but then Lexx took over just a teensy bit... Anyway, here's a link to my Newfoundland holiday piccies: filkingfairy.150m.com/NLList.htmlEnjoy!

It seems like a place that would inspire. Funnily enough, last time I was out there I met a Welsh poet who was looking for inspiration - he said if Newfoundland didn't inspire him, nothing would! Very modest chap - he didn't mention that he'd been in charge of the Eisteddfod (huge Welsh cultural festival) - or that his poetry is taught in Welsh schools.

Always fun and you learn so much.

This is just so cruel. Growing up I dreamed of attending sci fi & comic cons. They never made it to Nfld. My giddy dreams of meeting Leonard Nimoy or Joanna Cameron ("Oh Zephyr winds that blow on high!" - just web search her & your in for an eyeful. Her series never made it to Nfld., but comic readers knew all about her!!) went unfulfilled. Then I leave home and what happens, a mere 7 year later and sci fi con comes to Nfld! Dang it.

I think Leonard Nimoy's going to be at DragonCon this year (starts Sept 4)... a few lucky people from here are going.
And SciFi on the Rock will be taking place again next April.
